Girls Mini Rugby
St. Mary’s Girls U12s - Half Time Minis
(RDS, Saturday 26th March 2022)

The St. Mary’s College RFC U12s Girls' team played in the Half Time Minis at the Ireland vs Wales Women’s 6 Nations Match on Saturday. Our girls were fantastic – their energy, smiles and sense of fun was only matched by their skill level and performance as they outplayed Ballinrobe by 6 tries to 1. The girls got to share a pitch with many of their heroes including Beibhinn Parsons, Dorothy Wall, Eimear Considine and Nikki Caughey!


St. Mary's College RFC Girls' Rugby:

St. Mary's College RFC now has 90 girls playing and training every week and we want to keep this number growing! To date we have:

20 girls training at Under 6s
28 girls playing at Under 8s
15 girls playing at Under 10s
17 girls playing at Under 12s
10 girls playing at Under 14s

We also have girls playing at U16 and U18 with many representing Leinster at their age grades. We have new players joining every week, so please come forward if you'd like to try it out - it's great fun. We need to grow our numbers to 150 girls next year and we welcome girls of all ages from 6 to 18 years. With an aim to have teams competing at U8s, U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s and U18.5

The IRFU 'Give-It-A-Try' programme for new players kicks off again on May 4th 2022 and is now open for places.


St. Mary’s College RFC will also host a Girls Only Rugby Festival on May 14th 2022, with 1000 girls at U12s, U10s and U8s playing on the day! Come and join the fun - this is not an event to be missed!
